Adding ÉPIX Flex Boost to each output doubles the capacity of the drive to 1920 LEDs or 8 ÉPIX Flex 20, which reduces cost per linear feet. These make me rule out the problem is in the TV physical output or optical cable themselves, and I guess in theory the 2.ÉPIX Flex Drive controls the ÉPIX Flex 20 with 2 plug and play outputs that drive up to 4 ÉPIX Flex 20 at 960 LEDs each. Unfortunately I don't have anything else with an optical output to test the Hel2 with, but both the speakers and usb-c hub I have with optical input work with the output from the TV & cable. Support compressed: 5.1/7.1 digital surround sound and uncompressed lossless PCM audio.Connector: Toslink Male to 90 Degree Toslink Male.Combinations of Input USB/Optical, gain high/low, removing data USB cable, turning on/off via switch, via power cable….Sound -> Additional Settings -> Digital Sound Out -> tried Auto, PCM, Pass Through.Sound -> Additional Settings -> LG Sound Sync -> tried on/off.Sound -> Additional Settings -> HDMI Input Audio Format (only when PC -HDMI-> TV -optical-> Hel2): tried both Bitstream, PCM.Sound -> Additional Settings -> DTV Audio Setting -> tried Auto, MPEG, etc.One more signal that the issue may be in the TV-Hel connection (audio format? Have tried everything…) Thus seems safe to rule out a mechanical issue with the Hel2 optical port. I was able to make work Hel's optical input with an optical output from another device that's not the LGTV. PC 2.0 (any bit/sample rate) -> HDMI -> TV -> optical cable -> Schiit Hel 2 -> headphones = does not work!Įdits & update: add new setups trieds.TV (Youtube, Spotify, HBO…) -> optical cable -> Schiit Hel 2 -> headphones = does not work!.PC -> USB -> USB-C hub -> optical cable -> Schiit Hel 2 -> headphones = works.PC -> USB -> Schiit Hel 2 -> headphones = works.PC -> HDMI -> TV -> optical cable -> active speakers = works.TV (Youtube, Spotify, HBO…) -> 3.5mm jack/cable -> active speakers or headphones = works. ![]()
